Graduated from AU Mülkiye and South Bank University MBA programs
 
Worked as a marketing researcher for 6,5 years. Started in Retail Audit, then gained experience on both qualitative & quantitative areas.   
 
In 2000, moved to London and worked at Young&Rubicam Advertising agency as European brand analyst.
 
Since returning back to Turkey in 2002, Emel continued to work in advertising as a planner. Prior to co-founding Happy People Project advertising agency in 2011, she was the VP, Head of Planning at Leo Burnett Istanbul for 8,5 years.
 
Emel is a Member of the Turkish Advertising Self Regulatory Board since 2014. Also member of Turkey’s only Brand Consultants Association: Marka Konseyi and Turkish Advertising Association.
